Responsibilities - This role will be predominantly based in St Neots on one of their largest customer sites for an engineer looking to cut down the travel and have a better work life balance with minimal overnight stays Carrying out installations, repairs and maintenance on Chromatography instruments such as HPLC, GCMS, LCMS instrumentation Performs IQ/OQ/PM and repair when required at customer site Always maintain adequate amounts of stock and equipment in order to minimise customer downtime and ensure compliance with contractual objectives Develop and maintain effective customer facing communication and questioning skills to determine the issues to be resolved. Intermediate level IT skills in MS Office and report writing in Word & Excel. Ensure customer field service reports are completed and any surplus parts are returned to the office within a 48-hour time frame. Person Specification Worked on HPLC, LCMS, GCMS equipment Happy to work on a main site majority of the time Full UK driving licence Ideally you will be educated with an HNC, HND or BSc in a life science discipline or an ONC, HNC in an engineering discipline. Proactive and self-motivated approach to maintaining current knowledge of products and services, and scanning the external environment to keep to date on current research and learning.
