The Kingsborough Centre Church is seeking a Church Singer/Administrator Pastor to join our music ministry. The Church Singer Pastor’s responsibilities include memorizing lyrics, rehearsing, and performing songs, attending rehearsals, as well as collaborating with a team of creatives. They would assist the Music director to recruit, train and motivate volunteers. Plan and implement Sundays, services, monthly programs, and special events.
ROLES AND DUTIES
1. Develop and coordinate Bible study and monthly meetings with the choir
2. Mentor and disciple choir members, helping them to grow spiritually
3. Participate in coordinating concerts, luncheons, service projects, and trips
4. Participate in and oversee special events and activities for women
5. Administer the work of the Choir by encouraging teamwork and mutual support and by providing leadership for all
6. Pray regularly for the choir for God’s direction
7. Develop a budget and oversee the distribution of funds and keep track of expenditures
8. Establish goals and objectives by prioritizing related programs—keeping fundraisers away from the church as much as possible, managing the use of facilities, delegating tasks, and evaluating progress regularly
9. Plan and coordinate special interest classes such as cooking, gardening, needlework, crafts, etc.
10. Work with appropriate committees, officers, and leaders to carry out the ministry of the church
11. Write quarterly reports and year-end reports for the church board
12. Report to calling and advertising team of any events
Minimum Qualifications Required
1. Be a committed evangelical/Pentecostal Christian.
2. Teaching and preparation of bible study manuals, congregational worship leading, going out, and planning for church evangelism.
3. Ability to coordinate the women ministry, especially of African-Caribbean descent.
4. Understand the West Africa / Caribbean culture (at least able to speak one local African language), and able to minister to the needs peculiar to that ethnic group.
5. Bachelor’s degree or qualification equivalent of level 6 and evidence of training in the role and ordination will be required.
6. Must be a church member in good standing
7. Have good organization skills
8. Able to relate well with other people
9. Have a passion for ministering to women
10. To demonstrate creativity and innovation
