What you'll do: "Eaton Engineering Apprenticeship helps the business grow our own best-in-class engineers to support our demand for field, workshop, and site-based engineers to meet our customers' needs. The main purpose of the role is to learn how to become a fully competent Eaton manufacturing Test engineer by applying learning from college, and demonstrating this knowledge to your mentors, Apprentice Development Officer, and your college assessors to meet the needs of our customers so that we can provide them with the right electronic devices. 1.Comply with statutory requirements and stringent organisational safety requirements. - Using Electrical or Electronic Drawings, using CAD. - Using wiring and testing electrical equipment, assembling, and testing electronic circuits. - Attendance to the select college fulfilling apprenticeship requirements. - Completion of all required assignments - Successful completion of all exams set by the selected college. - Work alongside the Test Technicians & Test Engineers to: Assist with all stages of testing activities plus the analysis of results and report writing. Ensuring lab test apparatus are calibrated and maintained in operational condition. Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure that testing requirements are understood. Carry out diligent experimental testing to a high standard, in accordance to test protocols. Document results of the tests carried out in a clear and professional manner. - Assist in ensuring that the lab is the engineering lab, tidy and organised at all times - Work in cooperation with the wider R&D team to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the testing process. - Working closely with the training organisation to achieve your qualification. - Working at becoming competent at carrying out preventative maintenance, repairs, and the use of diagnostics on a wide range of the Eaton MTL product. Qualifications: Apprenticeship program in a relevant field (electronics) Skills: "Works well within a team, has good problem solving skills and time management. Sub-contractor supplier management. Skilled in report writing Capable of working independently once tasks are assigned. Strong communication skills. High attention to detail. Data analysis.
