Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and inspections of trees in public spaces and on private properties.
Develop and implement tree management plans and strategies in line with local regulations.
Collaborate with urban planners and developers to ensure the preservation of significant trees during development projects.
Provide expert advice on tree maintenance and health to residents and local organizations.
Monitor tree health, identify diseases, and recommend appropriate treatments or interventions.
Organize community tree planting events and educational programs to promote awareness about the importance of trees.
Prepare reports on tree conditions, maintenance needs, and recommendations for decision-makers.
Requirements
A degree in arboriculture, forestry, environmental science, or a related field.
Proven experience in tree management, inspection, and assessment.
Knowledge of tree biology, urban forestry practices, and relevant legislation.
Certification as an arborist through a recognised body is preferred.
Excellent communication skills to engage with the community and stakeholders.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £21.31
