Position: Front of House Supervisor Hospitality Department
Location: Cambridge College
Salary: Up to £31,129 per annum, depending on experience

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (excluding breaks). Shift work including evenings, weekends, and occasional out-of-hours work as required by business needs. Flexibility required for shift changes.
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join a dynamic hospitality team at a prestigious college. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the Front of House team and delivering high-quality service to Fellows, guests, and students. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.

Responsibilities:
As a Front of House Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
* Leading, supervising, and motivating Front of House staff, including casual employees, to deliver high standards of service.
* Actively planning and participating in the service of food and beverages at college events such as Feasts, Reunion Dinners, special Fellows Dinners, Conferences, and Private Catering Events.
* Ensuring all Front of House and Buttery staff are fully briefed on event requirements and adhering to college policies, including health and safety, food safety, and COSHH regulations.
* Managing the set-up and timely delivery of catering for all College rooms booked for events, ensuring that all food areas are fully prepared.
* Monitoring and developing team skills to provide excellent customer service to internal and external guests.
* Supervising the day-to-day operations of the department, including scheduling casual staff, monitoring productivity, and minimizing overtime.
* Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and sanitation are maintained according to the Food Safety Act 1990.
* Assisting with the recruitment of new casual staff and overseeing training on catering equipment use when necessary.
* Engaging with customers to ensure satisfaction and responding to feedback in a professional manner.
* Taking responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of food service areas, including the Pantry and Buttery.
