This role is based in our Llanberis facility, the Centre of Excellence for IMMULITE manufacturing, on a hybrid basis.
Your Role:
Key aspects of the buyer role within the Operational Procurement team at the Llanberis facility:
* You will plan, organise and co-ordinate purchases of materials & services by using the systems available to ensure on-time delivery and target safety stock levels.
* You will work closely with key stakeholders to align and implement agreed Sourcing and Supplier Performance Management strategies to ensure long-term cost-efficient supply of goods and services for the IMMULITE supply chain. Utilise digitisation opportunities as a key part of the sourcing strategy approach.
* You will resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases & invoices.
* You will perform value analysis to identify potential cost improvements and develop cost saving proposals. Liaising with appropriate departments in sourcing of new materials and services, on new projects or during research into alternative suppliers / materials and ensure risk mitigation strategies are considered.
* You will identify opportunities for process and system development, to help the department to meet the changing needs of the organisation.
* You will ensure a close co-operation with internal Customers at all levels, developing and building a good working relationship based on collaboration and trust.
Your Expertise:
* Minimum of 3 years buying experience, dealing with international suppliers of Biological and Chemicals or Electronic and machined components.
* Experience with ERP systems, e.g. SAP.
* Proven problem-solving skills and solution orientation.
* Strong team player with proven experience of working in an international team.
* Excellent communication skills, in the areas of reporting and supporting decision-making.
* Excellent business applications skills - Microsoft excel, Power Point. Power BI is an advantage.
* Able to understand stakeholder needs and translate them into processes and tools.
