LOCUM Contracts Lawyer - West Midlands

A progressive, dynamic local authority based in the West Midlands are seeking a Contracts Solicitor/Lawyer to join their legal team to play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services.
The Role
As a Contracts Solicitor/Lawyer, you will:
Provide expert legal advice and support on public procurement and commercial contracts.
Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Support Principal Lawyers on complex contracts, procurement matters, and high-level projects.
Handle contract disputes and risk management for the Council.
Work collaboratively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
About You
We are looking for a qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives - FCILEx) with at least three years' post-qualification experience in Local Authority or public sector contracts and procurement law.
