Grants Manager
£30,000 to £32,000 per annum dependant on experience.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to lead on growing funds through applications to charitable and grant-making Trusts. They will work with our Executive Management Team to identify projects and activities that require funding; compose high quality and timely written funding applications and match proposals to new and existing funders.
You will be joining the organisation at an exciting time; on the back of the rapid growth we are experiencing we are going through a transformation process and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the process of shaping processes and controls within the grants remit.
Overview:
As a Grants Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the grant application process, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring the successful acquisition of grants to support our organisation's mission. Your role will involve strategic planning, fundraising, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to secure funding for various projects.
Duties:
1. Develop and implement strategies to identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organisation's goals.
2. Manage the full grant application process, including writing proposals, budget development, and submission within deadlines.
3. Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing and potential funders to enhance grant funding prospects.
4. Collaborate with program managers to gather necessary information for grant applications and ensure compliance with funder requirements.
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of grant-funded programs and provide regular reports to stakeholders on outcomes and impact.
6. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in grant regulations to optimise funding opportunities.
Skills:
1. Proficiency in Grant Finder or similar fundraising software for managing donor databases and tracking contributions.
2. Strong relationship management skills to engage effectively with funders, donors, and internal teams.
3. Experience in fundraising techniques, market analysis, and public relations to enhance grant acquisition efforts.
4. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with stakeholders and represent the organization positively.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant professional experience.
2. Proven experience in grant writing, fundraising, or a similar role within the non-profit sector.
3. Knowledge of budget development, financial reporting, and grant compliance standards.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also independently managing multiple projects.
