We are currently looking for a Principal Parking Consultant to join our Parking and Traffic team based at our London office. We will provide you with the opportunities to enable you to succeed and support you to reach your potential. The position itself will include, but not be limited to :
1. Provide effective management of direct reports (including undertaking performance reviews) and be the technical lead on multiple projects. Assume responsibility for financial control, quality, and technical input for all assigned projects.
2. Develop new initiatives and pursue opportunities through business development activities that will raise personal and company profile and contribute to professional and public activities that have management team approval.
The role specifically requires a detailed knowledge of parking scheme design, regulations and policies, highways design, traffic engineering, transportation planning, and the ability to develop and initiate schemes from inception through to completion. The role also involves the day to day supervision and management of managerial and technical staff. Our ideal candidate will have but not limited to :
3. Relevant 1st Degree or equivalent
4. Membership of a professional institution (e.g., MICE or MCIHT) or aiming towards this status
5. Alternative consideration given to significant relevant experience in lieu of specified education and professional qualification.
6. Comprehensive understanding of parking schemes and associated regulations.
7. Comprehensive understanding of traffic and transportation techniques, highway design and transport planning principles and a proven track record in project design and delivery;
8. Sound computer literacy (knowledge of using spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook)
9. Preferably conversant with and/or intermediate user of CAD design software
10. Good understanding of traffic and highway legislation
11. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technical / industry / TfL standards
12. Good project management skills
13. Excellent financial acumen
14. Ability to work to deadlines
15. Ability to communicate at all levels
16. Experience and ability working on or managing multi-task projects.
