You can grow your skills as we place you on an assignment into Caterpillar Articulated Trucks, Peterlee in a challenging and quality-driven manufacturing environment on a 12 month fixed assignment.
Caterpillar Peterlee is the worldwide source of Cat Articulated Trucks, currently producing 7 variants used in many industries including mining, construction, and aggregates. The facility's manufacturing activities use the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a state-of-the-art paint plant.
The facility is easily accessible via bus, car, and train and is located just off the A19. The nearest bus stop is just outside of the facility and the nearest train station is located at Horden, which is just a 9 minute drive away from the site, with routes from Newcastle, Sunderland, Hartlepool, Durham, and Seaham!
With plenty of overtime work available throughout the week and during the weekends, you have the opportunity to maximise your earnings on an overtime rate which is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and double time on a Sunday.

Pay Rate and Working Hours:
36.5 hours per week
1. £15.98 - £18.08 per hour day shift
2. £19.18 - £21.70 per hour afternoon shift
3. £21.57 - £24.40 per hour night shift
4. £23.97 - £27.12 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday
5. £31.96 - £36.16 per hour overtime Sundays
Days:
1. Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:00
2. Friday 08:00 - 12:30
Back shift:
1. Monday - Thursday 16:00 - 00:00
2. Friday 12:30 - 17:00
Night shift:
1. Monday - Thursday 00:00 - 08:00
2. Friday 17:00 - 21:30
Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to H&S and PPE requirements
2. Work under your own initiative as well as part of a team
3. Paint spray various sized panels
4. Have a good eye for quality
5. Manually set paint machines
6. Carry out safety and quality checks on machine components
7. Work towards production targets
8. Familiarity with paint systems or paint spraying
You must have previous experience in spray painting (wet on wet paint) on an industrial level ideally obtained from the motor trade or associated discipline. NVQ Level 2/3 in Paint Spraying desired.
