Job Purpose
This is a key role for the business and will work with external stakeholders on the proactive development of integrated catchment solutions. The role will optimise the way we address risks and seek opportunities across catchments.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Managerial and leadership skills are critical for this role to deliver performance through a team of people
* The ability to motivate a team and deliver high performance across a 24/7 service is fundamental to this role
* Good understanding of operations and maintenance strategies
* Effective communication skills able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
* Resilience and ability to cope with pressure and demands of managing several multi-disciplinary teams, concurrently within large programmes of capital works
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to inspire, influence and successfully deliver targets through others when direct line management isn’t available is an essential requirement for the role
* Flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, having the ability to develop creative solutions to problems
* An interest and awareness of wider business issues
* Delivery of key targets and objectives within the limits of available resources
* Excellent leadership skills to enable the achievement of results through application of indirect management skills
Technical Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you’ll need to be an experienced professional with a proven track record and an experienced line manager with the following technical skills:
* A good level understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework surrounding the water industry
* A good understanding of water and wastewater asset design, construction, operation and serviceability
* Educated to HNC level (or equivalent)
