Health & Safety Manager Based in Chipping Warden £60k per year benefits RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development and implementation of company H&S objectives, policies, procedures, and standards. Oversee and support the promotion and use of H&S policies and procedures across all projects. Conduct senior-level safety checks and audits on projects, ensuring compliance with H&S standards. Produce and analyze monthly and yearly HS&E performance statistics and reports. Develop and publish high-standard HS&E documentation. Collaborate closely with operational teams to ensure effective execution of their H&S responsibilities. Assist in the development of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work (RAMS). Conduct regular and thorough health and safety inspections and audits. Ensure timely reporting and effective investigation of all accidents, incidents, and near misses, contributing to Incident Review Boards. Identify health and safety training requirements and assist in the development of training programs. REQUIREMENTS: Extensive experience in health and safety management, preferably in heavy civil projects (rail experience is a plus). NEBOSH Certificate (preferably Construction) or equivalent. Membership of a relevant professional institution (e.g., Tech IOSH or above). Proven experience in H&S management roles. Proficiency in auditing to ISO 45001 standard. Experience in construction and heavy civil environments. Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent). Working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Standards.
