This role of Executive Support and Governance Lead is designed for a meticulous, dedicated individual with experience supporting senior leaders in project work and governance, as well as supporting on Health & Safety and internal audit, eager to make a significant impact. Based in Salford, you'll play a vital role in providing high-level support to the executive team and ensuring robust governance.

Description
Duties of the Executive Support and Governance Lead:
1. Leading on projects arising from the Senior Leadership team
2. Providing Governance support to each group member organisation, including the co-ordination of key activities and documents
3. Leading on communication updates
4. Coordinating Board meetings across each member organisation including collation and distribution of papers
5. Coordinating the Audit and Risk Committee including collating and distributing papers & ensuring that audit actions are followed through to completion
6. Coordinating and chairing the Group Health and Safety committee, working alongside external advisors
7. Coordinating the activity of the Policy Action Group, including roll out of policies and associated processes
8. Coordinating the activity of the software development group
9. Supporting the exec team with monitoring and reporting on risks
10. Undertake quality assurance checks across the groups compliance activities in conjunction with the Asset Management Team and providing detailed reporting to SLT and Boards/Committees
11. Supporting annual governance processes, submissions and returns, including record keeping for contracts, board and employee declarations
12. Supporting the regular updating of the website and SharePoint pages for colleagues, Board and Committee members
13. Undertake any ad-hoc finance and business tasks as required and commensurate with the role.
Profile
A successful Executive Support and Governance Lead should have:
1. Experience supporting at board level
2. Experience chairing committees
3. Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Strong knowledge of governance best practices
6. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
