We are seeking a proactive and committed individual for the position of Warden/Cleaner. This role involves a variety of duties related to property maintenance, cleaning, and customer service, contributing to the smooth running of services within the borough., · To ensure conduct and behaviour demonstrates a commitment to the core council values and promotes cross service working to achieve excellent customer service and outcomes
· To be proactive in all aspects of health & safety management to comply with current legislation, promote a culture of good health and safety practice within the working environment, ensuring personal responsibilities to yourself and others are discharged in line with council policies and procedures
· To demonstrate a positive, diverse and inclusive attitude to both internal and external customers and colleagues
· Working in partnership with service users and other agencies to provide a quality service.
· You will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of properties throughout the borough. This includes cleaning/re-stocking and reporting all repairs identified promptly. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
· Carry out basic maintenance i.e. assembling of furniture packs, curtain poles, blinds
· To liaise with appropriate agencies to provide a direct response for short-term emergency situations, e.g. Arrange emergency repairs.
· To actively participate in the evaluation, development and continuous improvement of the scheme. Keeping up to date with policies and procedures and participating in meetings and training as necessary.
· To maintain accurate records and accessibility of information for the service
· Such other responsibilities allocated which are appropriate to the grade of post.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of equality and diversity and the ability to evidence how this would be displayed within the workplace
THE EXPERIENCE
General Maintenance - i.e. fitting curtain pools, assembling furniture, changing light bulbs
Cleaning
Demonstrate the ability to organise your own workload., 5 GCSE's or equivalent at Grade C or above (level 4 or above) including Maths and English or relevant demonstratable experience
Full valid driving licence or ability to meet the transport requirements of the roe
