As our KS3 History Teacher, you'll have the opportunity to ignite a passion for the past in our students. From ancient civilizations to modern revolutions, you'll guide students on a fascinating journey through time, exploring key events, personalities, and historical themes. Using innovative teaching methods and multimedia resources, you'll make history come alive and install in students a deep appreciation for the world around them.
Your Role:
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the KS3 History curriculum.
Foster critical thinking skills and historical literacy through inquiry-based learning.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
Incorporate primary and secondary sources, artefacts, and field trips to enhance learning experiences.
Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and enrichment opportunities.
Qualification and Requirement:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.
Experience teaching KS3 History or related subjects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
