Reporting to the company Accountant, your responsibilities will include: Purchase Ledger: Accurately recording supplier invoices. Liaising with remote sites to ensure timely submission of invoices. Requesting supplier statements and performing reconciliations. Supporting the implementation and future management of a purchase order processing system. Sales Ledger & Credit Control: Reviewing and creating daily sales invoices for our sites (data mostly pre-entered). Collaborating with sites to resolve invoice discrepancies. Supporting credit control by liaising with a small number of key UK insurance customers, ensuring smooth payments through relationship management and providing required information. Other Responsibilities: Assisting with bank reconciliations, fixed asset recording, and additional finance tasks as the role evolves. This role offers significant development opportunities, including potential progression to a Purchase Ledger Manager position. What We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Ideal Skills and Experience: Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word. Experience with financial software, such as SAGE or NetSuite (beneficial but not essential). AAT qualification, studying towards one, or equivalent knowledge/experience in bookkeeping processes. Personal Attributes: Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
