Position Title : External Manufacturing Supply Lead EMEA WTR Job Location : London, UK Summary:. This position is responsible for project and account management related to external supplier sources (comanufacturing/copacking) in Europe/Middle East. This position is responsible for account management of several external sources (outside Hershey’s internal manufacturing network) based in Europe. The role will be the Hershey point person for all activities related to external co-manufacturing and co-packing operations in Europe. This includes account management of an established coman/copack network, managing account contract activities, mitigating operation issues related to payments/supply constraints/etc, and development of NPDs and business development opportunities. The primary markets will include Hershey’s EMEA/WTR regions, but may also involve exports to other key regions such as APAC as needed. This position will develop operational solutions, provide recommendations to leadership, and establish and implement execution plans for production capacity expansion, margin enhancement and new item production solutions. They will leverage supply chain knowledge, and technical skills to drive solutions in a dynamic business environment. They will also provide analytical and project management support to cross functional project teams. This role will also be tasked, as needed, to unlock local manufacturing opportunities in Europe. This part of the role requires identification, evaluation, negotiation, and setup of both core manufacturing as well as co-packing activities. Major Duties/Responsibilities: Summary of major duties: Support new product development/product change projects. Request pricing for new projects within existing network Lead internal and external commercial discussion related to project scope Work with internal teams to evaluate commercialization and cost of new project Amend contract if needed based on successful project approval Ensure successful route to market Perform essential account management tasks related to existing external co-manufacturing and co-packaging network in Europe Develop and maintain relationships with external partners throughout the account lifecycle Point person for any supply related issues Mange and report KPIs Own, as needed, pricing and contract negotiations Lead CI opportunities related to external supply Coman Search, evaluation and understanding coman landscape in target geography Develop data base of potential coman sources for target for specified product formats Initial contact and develop understanding of coman capabilities Partner with multifunctional teams to do a detailed evaluation of the coman source Gap identification and capex requirements. Set up new external co-manufacturers Own commercial discussions/operating model/contracting activities Decide/recommend operating model for chosen external supplier Get cost quote and lead commercial discussion based on cost, delivery, and volumes Work with internal functions to decide routing of transactions, invoicing entity, etc Lead activities related to contract set-up, including development of agreement, signatures, internal setups Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: Education: BS/BA in Engineering, Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience. Experience: Prefer minimum of 8-10 years related experience in Procurement/Contract Manufacturing/ Project Management
