Title of Position: Logistics and Warehouse Manager, UK

The role covers operations for three brands, Scigrip for Structural Adhesives, Integra for Surfacing Adhesives and Unika covering kitchen products. Scope:
The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for the direction and management of the logistics and warehousing activities of the company for the UK and Europe.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage the company logistics function to meet the expectations of the management and customers with respect to timely and accurate deliveries.
2. Define and manage the site strategy to provide cost effective warehousing and shipping.
3. Negotiate and manage transport contracts to provide the best value logistics for inbound and outbound product.
4. Manage the company storage facilities and processes to ensure information present in the ERP system is accurate.
5. Coordinate with production team to ensure that customer orders are shipped in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Lead & coach personnel on Despatch, Goods Inwards, Warehousing procedures and methods in order to achieve required on time and in full (OTIF) delivery results.
General Management Responsibilities:
1. Identify skills gaps and team development opportunities to enhance the teams’ abilities.
2. Ensure adherence by all Logistics and Warehouse personnel to the Company Employee Policies & Procedures and instigate corrective actions if breached.
3. Manage personnel working hours, overtime commitments, holidays, and absentee issues through the associated IT systems.
4. Actively embrace and promote the standards set for Quality amongst all logistics and warehouse staff, compiling observations and necessary Corrective Actions Reports in response to any stock inaccuracies or shipping failures.
5. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of Standard Operating Procedures, equipment, and resources.
6. Lead, manage, develop, and motivate the team and individuals and communicate clear organisational objectives to ensure total capability and understanding.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. 5 years + experience in a transport, logistics and warehousing management role.
2. Has a continuous improvement mindset and implemented efficiencies.
3. Good organisational and communication experience and able to deal with people of different skills and abilities, as well as setting of own priorities.
4. Concise in delegation, numerate and with good written and presentational skills supported by an analytical and evaluation approach to problem solving.
5. Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and implements and leads by these standards.
6. Ability to understand and follow company guidelines policies and procedures, coupled with commercial understanding and cost control.
7. Ability to work under time-based deadlines and on one’s own, therefore demonstrating self-awareness, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
