Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain.
Location: London or Suffolk (hybrid working arrangements will be considered).
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time.
The Opportunity
Are you looking for a career which is rewarding, at the cutting edge of project development and where you can really make a difference? Come and join our expanding Sizewell C team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy.
Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support which allowed the start of the enabling works in 2024. This project is now seeking private investment and when completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manager Quality Management to lead a team of Quality Leads and Quality Engineers to ensure overall compliance with the quality management systems covering all activities within the scope of the Quality function.
Your key objective is to ensure that all aspects of the Quality function are supported and delivered consistently (safely, efficiently and right first time) delivering the strategic objectives that align with the Quality strategy and Sizewell C project goals.
The Role
You’ll ensure that the quality management arrangements and requirements are developed and implemented for effective deployment by the Sizewell C organisation and its supply chain. You’ll oversee monitoring and reporting on overall quality performance and driving quality improvement activities and initiatives across the Sizewell C delivery team.
As the Senior Manager Quality Management you will lead and manage a team to define, develop, implement and manage the policies, strategies, processes and procedures, standards, specifications and contract requirements. You’ll also support arrangements of systems, resources and tools necessary for the Quality function to operate effectively in a context and direction set by the Quality Director.
This is an opportunity to support the Quality Director to discharge responsibilities as an Intelligent Customer and for compliance with several Nuclear Site Licence Conditions. It is essential that effective working relationships are established with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders that include the Programmes, Alliances, senior leadership team, the Heads of Department within the Quality function, internal and external regulators and external stakeholders as well as supply chain partners.
The Skills
* You’ll have expert knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO9001/19443, GSR2, ISO14001 and ISO 45001) with experience working on a large scale infrastructure project.
* Proven leadership experience and ability to take a holistic view to set strategies and tactically resolve problems.
* Proven experience in leading and managing teams of quality professionals including resource planning and budget management and with the ability to inspire team working and collaborative working across different functions.
* Ability to work autonomously and support the Quality Director in discharging delegated responsibilities.
* Self-managing with strong organisational skills and ability to effectively implement management arrangements.
* Confident and articulate communicator, able to prepare presentation material, and comfortable addressing individuals, small groups and very large audiences.
* Act as a strong advocate for best practice, able to support and defend practical deployment and solutions, whilst remaining open to the ideas of others.
* The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* A leader who recognises how their position impacts and influences others.
* Ability to develop, lead and manage teams.
If the above sounds like you then we would love to hear from you!

Additional Information
Join the team at Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain.
It’s not every day you get the opportunity to shape the working culture of what will be one of Europe’s largest construction projects, while also helping Britain to reach its target of Net Zero emissions by 2050. That’s one of the reasons Sizewell C will be unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before, and you’ll need to be an exceptional professional to reach the high standards this critical infrastructure project demands.
The UK is experiencing a nuclear renaissance and Sizewell C – along with its sister project at Hinkley Point C in Somerset – is powering the change. We’re ramping up at pace as we look ahead to the Financial Investment Decision in early 2025, and the start of construction soon after. With government fully on board and public opinion shifting significantly in favour of nuclear, there’s never been a better time to join our project.
