Working alongside IT/OT professionals and system administrators, help to protect the organisation by employing a range of technologies and processes to prevent, detect and manage cyber threats. Arrange and conduct training and awareness programmes for BIS colleagues and end users in good security practices. Document and report to various areas of the business.

What will you be accountable for?
* Make recommendations for improvements to systems, policies and standards and ensure compliance through regular monitoring, audits, spot checks and continual development of SOP's, policies and documentation.
* Prevent data loss and service interruptions by ensuring security systems are in place to protect the business.
* Maintain system controls and levels of access; assisting with auditing, mitigate known weaknesses, recommend improvements.
* Drive security awareness and culture by developing and promoting activities such as educational programs, on-going communications and changes to SEW’s way of working to meet requirements.
* Investigate improper access and report violations to accountable parties, taking appropriate action.
What do you bring to the role?
* A degree within IT/OT Security or a computing related subject or educated to A level standard with either Level 4 Cyber Security technologist, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
* Expert knowledge in:
o Securing Windows & Linux operating systems.
o IP networking.
o Next generation firewalling.
o Network access control.
o AV & EDR protection technology.
o Zero trust Network access.
o Vulnerability management.
* Analytical and problem solving skills to identify and assess risks, threats, patterns and trends.
* Demonstrable experience working on IT Security.
* Exposure in other IT settings (such as OT security) would be advantageous.
