Duties
1. Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
2. Create and develop new menu items based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
3. Ensure that all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
4. Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
5. Train and supervise kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
6. Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for customers.
7. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Skills
1. Strong culinary skills with a focus on food production and preparation.
2. Excellent leadership abilities to effectively manage a team of kitchen staff.
3. Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
5. Experience in menu planning and creating innovative dishes.
6. Proficient in supervising kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
7. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with front-of-house staff and address customer needs.
8. A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality food.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £11.62-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
