Story Behind the Need:
The GIAM - IAM Governance team plays an important role in evaluating various types of IAM roles, conducting gap analysis to bridge the current state with future objectives, and aligning controls in conjunction with business requirements. In order to onboard applications onto the Google Cloud Platform, privileged access management needs to be configured to allow users to securely access the cloud application. The team is seeking a Cloud IAM Governance Architect to support the governance tasks in the migration project.

Typical Day in Role:
* Build and support within the lower environments and supporting the deployment of applications and users into production.
* Application production support.
* Managing and securing access to resources in Google Cloud and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
* Looking for various governance related policies and adjusting them up to the applicable standards of the enterprise.
* Support the migration of cloud acceleration/migration project.
* Working on cloud identities and IAM initiatives.
* Reporting to the Hiring Manager.
Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 10+ years of working experience as a Solutions Architect
2. 5+ years of hands-on experience and understanding of IAM Roles – Both the basic and predefined roles in Google Cloud’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) system.
3. Hands-on experience with Google Cloud and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
4. 5+ years of experience working with Kubernetes RBAC.
5. Basic understanding of IAM tools such as SailPoint/CyberArk.
Nice-To-Have Skills:
* Auditing experience – May be involved in auditing-related job functions.
* Data analytics experience.
* IAM/Cybersecurity/Cloud Certifications.

* Strong communications skills to facilitate meetings with various stakeholders.

Education:
Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field is an asset.
