Job Description:
Our partner is a leader in Mechanical & Electrical services, facilities management, and commercial cleaning solutions with over 100 years of expertise, they are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join the team, working across multiple sectors, including social housing, healthcare, education, commercial, and leisure.
The role involves working on installations, inspections, fault diagnosis, and remedial work, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on:
Lighting systems
Electrical distribution boards and circuits
Fire and intruder alarms
Pumps, motors, and control systems
Building Management Systems (BMS)
HVAC and EV charging systems
Perform Electrical Inspection & Testing, remedial work, and void installations primarily for social housing clients.
Diagnose faults, recommend solutions, and execute repairs or alterations to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Respond promptly to reactive call requests and participate in a 1 in 4 on call rota.
Prepare detailed quotes for installation or repair works.
Use CAFM systems to track tasks and update records.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and sustainable practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
NVQ Level 3, AM2, and City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, testing, and installation.
Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and technical skills.
Excellent communication, customer service, and organisational skills.
IT proficiency and ability to update digital maintenance systems.
Package:
Salary: £36,563 per annum.
On-Call Payment: £1,950 per annum (1 week in 4).
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate after 37.5 hours worked.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (30 minutes daily travel time in own time).
