We are seeking a dedicated Network Engineer to support and enhance our public sector clients network infrastructure, encompassing data, voice, wireless, and mobilising environments. This role involves maintaining high standards of network performance, assisting in project management, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
Experience
* Experience with Data, Voice, and Wireless systems; support of major networks in a large multi-site organisation, preferably in a 24x7x365 industry.
* Experience based on Cisco products and Atos/Mitel telephony.
* Experience in setting standards, procedures, and methods.
* Practical knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Visio).
* Cisco CCNA accreditation is preferable.
Skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to establish effective customer relationships and prioritize customer satisfaction.
* Possession of a clean, current driving licence; required to pass the Brigade's driving assessment.
Knowledge
* Ethernet, General Networking, Cabling (Fibre and Copper), IP Telephony, Cisco Routers & Switches, Network Management Tools, Wireless Technology.
* Understanding of teamwork importance and flexibility within a team to achieve objectives.
* Knowledge of current IT industry developments, especially in voice, data, and wireless networks.
* Understanding of equality issues and commitment to implementing equality policies.
* Knowledge of information security regulations, particularly regarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of computer-held information.
