Reporting directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role offers a high degree of autonomy. The Engineering Resource Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the day team of site engineers at Burton Latimer and Corby. This position entails handling all engineering needs across multiple factories and facilities.
The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring top-notch customer service delivery for engineering contracts (safety, quality, KPIs, and Budget).
The purpose of this role is to:
* Provide a single point of leadership for Weetabix and their engineering day team covering Burton Latimer and Corby.
* Take complete ownership of overseeing the budget for the day workshop.
* Accountable for ensuring the correct skills are maintained and developed within the team to maintain and improve capability.
* Accountable for the delivery of monthly KPI targets in Central Engineering and the Clusters.
* Responsible for the development of the Day Team and Planning Team.
* Identify and/or support the successful delivery of capital and revenue projects across all Weetabix sites.
* Accountable for the adherence to all relevant standards, legal compliance, and safety (DSEAR, LOLER, PSSR, LEV etc) on behalf of the company for the Central Engineering areas.
* Identify opportunities to enhance utilisation of resources across the teams.
* Collaboration and sharing of knowledge and resource across sites to maximise company results.
* Coaching and mentoring the team in all aspects of engineering.
Requirements
Non-negotiables
* Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
* Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
* Experience of maintenance engineering best practices TPM, RCM.
* Relevant experience in the manufacturing Industry.
