We are looking for an Accountant, Associate to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
1. This position will perform a variety of accounting functions as they relate to payables, expense reports and various other accounting functions.
2. Process supplier invoices and request for remittances utilizing the Accounts Payable system.
3. Monitor invoice on hold issues and help to resolve problems.
4. Interpret purchase order terms and conditions to ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely.
5. Perform supplier pay site set-up and maintenance; coordinate with sourcing department as needed.
6. Resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies with Sourcing, Receiving, and requisitioners.
7. Work with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate processing.
8. Coordinate daily scanning of invoice documents for easy retrieval by finance department.
9. Collect and report year-end 1099 tax information to the IRS.
10. Audit and approve employee expense reports to ensure compliance with company policy. Follow up with employees and managers on any discrepancies.
11. Participate in employee training related to expense reporting.
12. Prepare all Project and General Ledger entries related to the recording of expense reports.
13. Provide support for progress payment and milestone completion documentation.
14. Support internal and external audit requirements as needed.
15. Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
16. Perform all project set-up parameters as required by the ERP system to allow proper company wide use.
17. Prepare General Ledger entries to properly classify cost as needed.
18. Perform other accounting duties of equal or less complex in nature.
19. Backup Payroll Specialist as needed.
What you Bring:
1. Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
2. Bachelor’s degree in accounting
3. 0-4 years of experience in accounting/finance field
4. Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
5. Experience with Oracle preferred
6. Strong analytical skills
7. Self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team
