Occupational Therapist
Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for effectively evaluating and treating clients with physical, mental, or developmental conditions that impact their ability to perform daily activities. Your primary goal will be to help patients regain independence and enhance their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to design and implement personalized treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the principles of occupational therapy and a passion for helping individuals overcome barriers to their personal and professional goals. You will be responsible for assessing clients in various settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and outpatient facilities, and providing ongoing support and guidance throughout their recovery journey. Your ability to communicate effectively and empathize with patients will be crucial as you work to inspire confidence and motivate them to achieve their objectives. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and strengths
Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and needs
Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional skills
Monitor and document patients' progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide integrated care
Educate patients and their families about occupational therapy techniques and home care strategies
Advocate for patients' needs and coordinate with community resources for additional support
Requirements
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist
Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred
Basic understanding of relevant medical conditions and therapeutic interventions
Hours Per Week: 37.50
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 20:00
Pay Per Hour: £18.53
Location: Bath, Bath & N E Somerset
