We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Services Technician to join our team in Gateshead. As a Site Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all buildings, fabric, and ancillary equipment/services are fully operational. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety standards/processes and production planning. Always maintain compliance with all health and safety and food safety standards.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with contractors and other team members to ensure all aspects of work are maintained and run safely and efficiently. Support the engineering team in root cause analysis and resolution implementation.
Maintain consistent and accurate reporting of all activities, including temporary repairs log via the CMMS system. Promote and demonstrate proactive measures for improving machines/equipment and processes.
Training and Support: Support and deliver formal training to the wider operations team to drive continuous improvements. Environmental Management: Act as the 'competent person' for site effluent management, ensuring environmental permit compliance and monitoring.
Experience with production lines/machines and basic literacy and IT/PC skills.
Drive and Energy: Apprenticeship/Technical background – Level 2 NVQ or equivalent.
Experience in food handling and knowledge of production lines/machines.
Good verbal and written English communication and numeracy skills.
Level 2 Food Safety (provided by the business).
