We're looking for a talented Water Performance and Reporting Manager to take ownership of key regulatory reporting functions, drive performance improvements, and help us meet our ambitious targets for leakage and water resource management. Responsibilities will include: Owning Key Reporting Functions: Lead the reporting for our Water ASP, focusing on the Supply Demand Balance Index (SDBI) and Water Balance calculations to ensure we meet regulatory targets. Shaping Performance: You’ll be at the forefront of driving a 2% discrepancy in water balance, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and guiding continuous data improvement initiatives. Influencing Decision-Making: Provide actionable insights and collaborate with leadership teams to shape strategic programmes aimed at maximising water availability and performance. Managing a Team: Lead a small, skilled technical team, fostering growth and development while working closely across the business to improve performance. Driving Excellence in Reporting: From monthly SDBI calculations to annual return submissions, your work will be integral to the success of our water business. Other Responsibilities Delivering accurate SDBI and Water Balance reporting to senior stakeholders, ensuring the integrity of our data. Collaborating across functions to drive reporting excellence and improve performance insights. Leading key initiatives to improve the accuracy of data, ensuring we’re always one step ahead. Communicating long-term strategic goals to the business, aligning teams to deliver on shared targets. Driving regulatory compliance, including oversight of our annual return figures for drought restrictions. About You You’ll need to bring a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and a deep understanding of the water industry’s regulatory landscape. Here’s what we’re after: Experience in Asset Management & Regulatory Reporting – You’ll have a proven background in water or regulated industries and a strong grasp of OFWAT's business model. Data Excellence – Highly numerate, with great attention to detail and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights that drive performance improvements. Leadership – Experience managing and developing technical teams, with the ability to collaborate across departments to achieve business goals. Strategic Vision – The ability to communicate and implement long-term plans that align with both business objectives and regulatory targets. Qualifications & Experience: A Degree in science, asset management, engineering, or a related field (essential). Experience in regulatory reporting and data analytics. An Asset Management qualification or membership of a professional body is a plus. Package This role will be full time Monday to Friday 37 hours a week. Southern Water operate a hybrid approach to working between our office and home.
