Finance Business Partner - Asset Finance
About the team
Launched in October 2018, the Group's Asset Finance business has successfully grown a lending book in excess of £300m. Working with Finance and the Asset Finance business provides a unique opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of the leasing products and operations, pairing this with accounting knowledge to assist in delivering the Group's internal and external reporting commitments.
The Asset Finance has grown over time to a strong team of 30 people, consisting of Asset Management, Collections, Customer Services, Internal Sales and Operations, all based in Fleet, Hampshire, together with field-based Regional Sales Managers.

What you will be doing
In this role, you will ensure accurate reporting of performance for the Asset Finance portfolio in an efficient effective manner to Group Finance. You will also prepare management and Statutory information for the Asset Finance Board.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the execution of accurate and timely completion of the Asset Finance month end reporting process.
* Ownership of the general ledger for Asset Finance, ensuring all journals posted are accurate and contain strong supporting documentation.
* Preparing monthly analytical reviews and present the month end financial reports for senior manager review and approval, demonstrating ownership of follow-ups and seeing them through to completion.
* Monitoring the daily bank reconciliations prepared by OSB India, working with the business to ensure unreconciled items are investigated and cleared in a timely fashion, escalating aged items to management and taking ownership to resolve.
* Owning the Asset Finance balance sheet substantiation process in Blackline, organising staff in India to meet the Group's WD 10 deadline.
* Ensuring the Asset Finance reconciliations are prepared in accordance with the Group's policy. Manage all unreconciled differences, driving change to ensure timely resolution.
* Preparing monthly analytical reviews on actual performance against forecasts, presenting to the Asset Finance Board at the monthly meeting.
* Supporting the Group's external audit, developing strong relationships with the Group's External Auditor and ensuring Asset Finance audit deliverables are provided in-line with agreed deadlines.
* Liaising with and assisting the business on new products being launched and the development of the loan systems.
In return for your commitment
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of between £50,000 - £60,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Could you be the one?

* 2 years previous work experience of working within a financial services or risk-based environment is advantageous.
* Advanced knowledge of financial control processes is advantageous.
* Qualifications in Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is essential.
