Job Title: Wellbeing & Events Coordinator

Salary: £25,965.41 per annum, pro rata (£27,112.48 is achieved after 18 months successful performance in the role)
Working Hours: 15 per week
Working Pattern: Tuesday and Thursday 9-5 with flexibility to work until 8pm on occasion or weekends

Riverside’s dynamic, innovative Extra Care schemes, work intergenerationally, with residents being adults with care and support needs over the age of 18, including older people with care needs, adults with learning disabilities and mental health related care and support needs.
The difference you will make as a Wellbeing & Events Coordinator
You will be responsible for promoting an active and enabling environment, providing a focal point for customers and the local community. Playing a key role in the development and implementation of a range of initiatives, activities and events that encourage resident and community participation to promote independence, reduce isolation and enhance the quality of life through social activities, lifelong learning and wellbeing, preventative health and active ageing within the scheme.
This role will be working alongside a 22.5 hour a week existing Wellbeing & Events Coordinator.

1. Experience of working with vulnerable customer within a housing and/or support environment
2. Good communication and conflict resolution skills
3. Experience of liaising with multiple stakeholders
4. IT skills to include basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, with a willingness to learn specific IT systems used at Riverside

Role Profile
Coordinate, deliver, review and promote an events programme at an Extra Care scheme:
10. Develop a continual rolling programme of activities and events both within the facility and off site.
11. Arrange, promote and manage facility events and activities and attend when appropriate.
12. Monitor, review and update the events programme on a quarterly basis by obtaining feedback from residents, participants and event providers.
13. Be responsible for the promotion and marketing of the facility, ensuring that it is integrated within the local neighborhood.
14. Be responsible for the promotion and marketing of the events programme at the scheme
15. Build partnerships with a range of stakeholders, statutory and voluntary agencies, local businesses and community groups to ensure the availability of a diverse range of events. Make links with local services and amenities to improve access for customers and the local community
16. Work closely with the care and catering providers to ensure that all customers regardless of needs have the opportunity to be involved in a wide range of events including group and one to one events.
17. Responsible for the supervision of trainees and volunteers
18. Organise specific sessions around energy usage, understanding the controls within apartments, benefits advice and service charges.
19. Access alternative sources of funding with support from Riverside’s in house experts, submit bids and work with partners to share financial resources.
Administration, recording and performance:
20. Provide timely reports on the events and activities in line with the PFI contract to the Contract Manager, maintain records of service performance, customer satisfaction and feedback and seek continuous improvement.
21. Adhere to the performance and availability standards as set out in the PFI contract.

22. Adopt a customer focused “one stop” approach throughout the facility to promote quick resolution of all enquiries.
23. Cover at other sites as directed by the Manager.
24. The role will cover some evening and weekend working.
