Job Advert: Full-Time KS1/KS2 Teaching Assistant Location: Burnley Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Contract: Full-Time Start Date: Monday 24 th February 2025 To be successful in this role, you must be available full-time (Monday – Friday). We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 or KS2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at our school. Key Responsibilities: - Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons to children in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7) or Key Stage 2 (ages 7 – 11). - Provide one-on-one or small group support for pupils, catering to their individual learning needs. - Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials. - Promote positive behaviour and assist in the management of classroom routines. - Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. - Help with the assessment and recording of student progress. - Create a positive and nurturing environment that encourages pupils to develop academically and personally. - You will need: - Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting. - A genuine passion for education and supporting young children in their learning. - Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. - Patience, creativity, and a proactive approach to supporting children. - The ability to be proactive in a face-paced environment. - A strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 curriculum is desirable. - A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) Why Join Us? - A supportive and friendly team of staff. - Opportunities for professional development and training. - A welcoming school environment where every child is valued. - A chance to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
