Southampton is also a key automotive hub, handling around 850,000 automotive units every year.
Reporting to our Head of Health, Safety and Environment, we are looking to secure a resilient Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join our team in Southampton, leading a team of four regional advisors and offering technical support.
This role will support the Southampton leadership team to maintain and continuously improve health and safety management systems, HS&E programmes and employee engagement. The position will also support the wider business in driving high standards of safety performance enabling the ABP business to achieve its HS&E objectives.

It is essential that you hold:
1. A recognised health and safety qualification (BSc., NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ, or equivalent)
2. Minimum 5 years post-qualification relevant experience
3. Working knowledge of HS&E regulations and management systems, including an understanding of behavioural safety concepts
4. A current UK Driving Licence
Good leadership, to be able to support and mentor a team of four directs.
You will lead by example, guiding and mentoring a small team of regional Health and Safety Advisors. Your leadership will be instrumental in encouraging a collaborative and inclusive environment that drives outstanding safety standards. Your ability to support and empower your team will ensure the successful implementation of our ambitious HS&E objectives.
