Job Title: Site Engineer

The Site Engineer will be based on a Scheme valued in excess of £25m. The scope of works includes piling, reinforced concrete works, earthworks, and civils. The Site Engineer is responsible for setting out the site and maintaining dimensional controls in accordance with relevant contract drawings, specifications, and site surveys. They ensure all relevant tolerances are met without compromising quality or usable floor space. This role includes reviewing construction outputs and planning the most efficient sequence of operations with a strong focus on quality control, work management, and technical support. The Engineer will perform their duties in line with company procedures and the safety standards outlined in the company’s Safety Statement/Policy.
Responsibilities:
Sets out the works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and site surveys
Liaises with project planners regarding construction programmes and supplier outputs
Checks materials and works in progress for compliance with specified requirements
Adheres to all company safety requirements
Contributes to Inspection and Test Plans, ensuring the supply chain provides necessary test data
Raises RFIs and resolves technical issues with employer representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities
Manages quality control and record keeping in line with method statements, quality plans, and inspection and test plans from the project team and subcontractors
Qualifications:
Degree / Diploma in Engineering
SMSTS / MSIC
First Aid Course
Lifting Supervisor Certification
Temporary Works Coordinator trained (TWC)
Chartered or working towards professional status with Engineers Ireland or the Institute of Civil Engineers
Flood/Water experience is desirable
