A wonderful sole charge live out nanny role has become available in Peters Green, Hertfordshire. You will be looking after two happy and active children – a boy aged seven and his sister aged five. The family live in a recently renovated house in the countryside, with a large garden, including a vegetable patch.
This family is looking for a kind, proactive and friendly nanny who would like to have fun with the children, along with providing lots of love and support.
The children go to school each day. During term time (33 weeks) you will be required for 35 hours each week. The hours will be Monday-Friday, 07.30-09.30 (to help with breakfast and do the morning school run), returning in the afternoon at 15.00-18.00 (to collect the children from school or their clubs and help with dinner, homework and bathtime).
There will be an additional two hours in the day (to be added to the morning or the afternoon, whichever suits you) where you will have time to help keep the children organised – helping with their laundry, keeping their rooms and playroom tidy, ensuring they have everything they need for the day ahead, etc. Any help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated, emptying the dishwasher, running the occasional errand, etc. The family has a weekly cleaner.
In the school holidays (19 weeks a year) the hours will increase to 07.30-18.00 each day (52.5 hours/week). There is also the possibility of ad hoc babysitting. This will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.
The parents are keen for their children to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help them to hit their various developmental milestones – with lots of stimulating and educational indoor fun (board games, reading, jigsaws, craft, singing, imaginary games etc) mixed with plenty of outside play and walks to the park. Their son enjoys football and cricket, and their daughter enjoys gymnastics and dancing. In the school holidays, when there will be more time, the family is happy for the children to go on fun outings and to visit friends, so they can mix with other children, always keeping them safe and happy.
You will provide the children with healthy and nutritious meals (home cooked as often as possible). The family likes to utilise the vegetables that they grow in their garden.
You will need to be a careful and confident driver, with a clean licence. There is a car for use on duty.
