We are currently seeking an interim Regional Account Executive to work with our global FMCG client Unilever and become an integral part of their fast-paced food solutions FMCG environment.
The position requires visits to customers in Belfast and ROI, working from the Dublin office 1-2 days per week. This is a full-time temporary role for 6 months, requiring 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation is competitive, up to £44,000 per annum, pro-rata, depending on experience.
Time split between workplace and remote work is subject to change based on business needs.
We are looking for a passionate, high-performing Regional Account Executive to develop and accelerate Unilever Food Solutions' business with trade partners and end users.
Operating in over 70 markets worldwide, Unilever Food Solutions is the dedicated foodservice business of Unilever. Our Irish portfolio includes leading brands like Knorr, Colman's, Carte D'or, and Hellmann's. We aim for year-on-year growth by offering tailored solutions to chefs and caterers, helping them expand their businesses.
The foodservice industry is dynamic and involves working with a range of customers, from Michelin-starred restaurants to hotels, pubs, workplaces, schools, hospitals, wholesalers, and cash-and-carry outlets. We are ambitious for growth and offer significant development opportunities.
This role is responsible for delivering volume and financial targets through trade partners and chain customers, such as hotels and QSRs. The candidate will create, negotiate, and implement joint business plans with trade partners, manage existing accounts, and seek new chain customers.
Role Responsibilities
* Manage in-month performance versus forecasts.
* Manage accruals and pricing accurately and efficiently.
* Ensure customer compliance with trade terms; resolve breaches and monitor implementation.
* Manage P&L to meet turnover and business building targets.
* Handle administrative tasks like pricing, rebates, NLF, promos, trade terms, and contracts.
* Develop and deliver joint business plans with trade partners.
* Source and manage chain customers through JBPs and relevant propositions.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
* Build strong customer relationships.
* Attend industry events such as Catex.
* Travel and occasional overnight stays may be required.
Key Requirements
* Full driving license.
* Proven ability to develop customer relationships; self-starter.
* Experience in developing and implementing trade joint business plans.
* IT proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; digitally competent.
* Experience in food service sales is desirable but not essential.
* Knowledge of catering market trends and foodservice industry.
* Exceptional commercial acumen.
* Customer-focused attitude.
* Clear, concise communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as part of a team.
* Strong organizational skills, including diary and admin management.
