Reporting directly to the Technical Coordinator, the role of Materials Testing Technician will be responsible for:
* Organising and undertaking technical testing to ensure test regimes and workload are met, comply with UKAS and/or Company systems.
* Support the investigation; and resolve quality issues, advise operations and Site Teams of results and potentially suggest actions for improvement
* Test procedures - To ensure testing procedures are fully documented, understood and communicated to comply with UKAS standard where required and have the correct equipment available in calibration
* Sampling & Testing - To carry out sampling and testing in line with contract requirements
* Ensuring the quality of the materials is always monitored for both internal and external customers.
* At times, visiting other Tarmac sites to carry out various sampling and testing duties

The role of Materials Testing Technician is working on site as part of a team that supports operations. This role is commutable from Magor, Newport, Chepstow, Lydney, Caldicot, Cardiff, Cwmbran, Abergavenny, Merthyr Tydfil, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Llantrisant, Pontyclun and the surrounding areas.
