A primary school in Whitefield is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their vibrant team after May half term. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality education across a range of subjects, collaborating closely with teachers to provide tailored support for students. Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and assist with small group sessions and whole class teaching, under the direction of the class teacher.
* Provide effective support to students with a range of needs, including those with additional learning requirements.
* Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, ensuring activities are appropriately differentiated for individual students.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate with teachers to assess, plan, and implement interventions for students who require additional support.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) when necessary.
Key Requirements:
* HLTA qualification or equivalent experience (minimum Level 4).
* Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar educational role, including experience leading student groups.
* A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both students and staff.
* An initiative-taking, adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and learning.
* A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
