As one of our Offshore Reliability Engineers, you’ll help to maintain the reliability and technical integrity of our assets’ safety and production critical equipment through assessment of equipment reliability characteristics, including advanced condition-based monitoring. We’ll also expect you to provide troubleshooting support to maintenance, root cause analysis of operational related problems, auditing and improvement of maintenance reference plans.
We have a vacant oil and gas industry position as Offshore Maintenance & Reliability Engineer in Norfolk, UK, Europe at Shell UK. The job opening is in the Engineering and Reliability department where you will be an important team member. We’re currently looking to recruit two Offshore Maintenance and Reliability Engineers to join us offshore in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Improvement of offshore and onshore structures performance through maintenance analysis and reliability/improvement loop.
2. Responsible for planning structural inspection.
3. Providing maintenance input into Asset Integrity and structural engineering support for onshore and offshore structures.
4. Act as contract holder for a number of hoisting and structural engineering related contracts.
5. Actively participate in audits and reviews.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Advise and prepare the specification and selection of ROV Launch and Recovery and control systems to be installed on new build vessels.
2. Monitor and expedite the manufacture, assembly and test of new and upgraded handling systems.
3. Identify and implement improvements that provide enhanced capability, improved performance and increased reliability of companies ROV Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS).
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Deliverable of Incident and Injury Free (IIF) performance, while achieving timely delivery of projects within cost expectations.
2. Initial review and assessment of proposed opportunities for Brownfield facilities and processing system modifications (pre-project & Project Phase 1).
3. Concept Selection, Design, Construction, Commissioning & Startup and Close Out of Brownfield facilities.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience of working with oil tankers, gas carriers and floating production or storage vessels.
2. Fluent spoken and written English is essential.
3. Excellent presentation and Microsoft Office skills.
4. Knowledge of marine engineering, covering basic propulsion systems, cargo transfer systems and outfit equipment.
