The All England Club is seeking to appoint a Head of Project Delivery to play a leading role in the development of its iconic estate portfolio.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) is best known as the host of The Championships, Wimbledon, the world’s oldest Grand Slam tennis tournament. The AELTC has a rich history and tradition, offering world-class facilities and maintaining the highest standards of excellence. The Club is dedicated to promoting the sport and ensuring the continued success of the Championships, which attract the world's best players and millions of fans each year.
The AELTC has ambitious plans for the development and enhancement of its estate, which will have a transformative impact on the Championships while creating year-round benefits for the local community.
Reporting to the Estate Director, the Head of Project Delivery will be a key member of the Estate Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for leading a team of project managers, design managers, and external professional advisors to successfully deliver the AELTC’s development pipeline on our main site in SW19 (including the Wimbledon Park Project), and on our satellite sites in Raynes Park and Roehampton. Projects typically range in value between £20m and £100m+ and span a diverse portfolio of complex new-build, refurbishment, fit-out, and decarbonisation schemes.
The role will include extensive stakeholder engagement to support the development of briefs, balancing needs of AELTC members, staff, Board, players, and both year-round and Championships visitors to serve our wider purpose and ambition.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale and diverse estate development programmes in complex environments, with experience of leading teams to balance quality, commercial acumen, and the highest standards of design and sustainability at every stage of every project.
You will be adept at leading and managing both internal and external teams of project professionals and will possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills. We are seeking an individual that has exceptional stakeholder management skills and that will bring a high level of passion to their role in supporting the success of the AELTC and the Championships.
