Hybrid - 1 day office (Tuesday) 4 days home

What You’ll Be Doing
This role will be responsible for proactive customer account management and growth of our client’s Component Sales (FCS), supervising the members of the Account Management team selling into their respective UK or EU markets. The role includes liaising with our client’s product development, purchasing, finance, and sales & marketing teams to ensure accurate information and a timely response is provided to the customer. Additionally, aligning with and supporting, as and when required, functions in the FCS Material, Planning & Logistics (MP&L), Marketing, and Original Equipment (OE) areas.
During a Typical Day, You’ll
1. Supervise and lead the Account Management Team for all respective markets.
2. Analyse enquiries from potential customers using various internal systems to establish the most viable means of achieving the customer’s needs, considering cost, location, and supply chain activity.
3. Carry out administrative duties for team members including timekeeping for holidays, sickness, completing performance appraisals, coaching team members.
4. Grow the accounts of existing customers and identify new customers.
5. Hold customer meetings either virtually or face to face.
6. Carry out occasional visits to customers, business partners or motor trade shows.
7. Work in conjunction with the Marketing Manager to find new product opportunities.
8. Assist the Marketing Manager to ensure price books are created accurately and pricing uploaded to the systems.
9. Attend finance meetings and consult with customers regarding escalated account issues.
10. Ensure full support is given to the sales and supply chain functions to ensure objectives are met.
11. Ensure timely response to customers via the sales department.
12. Comply with Our client’s annual file review, ensuring all desk procedures have been updated and are in line with Our client’s procedures and Financial Manuals.
13. Implement process improvements.
14. Cover functions of the MP&L and OE areas as and when required, i.e., scheduling parts.
15. Ad hoc duties as and when required as guided by the Operations Lead.
What You Bring To The Role
1. Educated to A Level standard would be preferred.
2. Previous mid-level experience of People management.
3. Knowledge of the supply chain function is essential.
4. Experience within the aftermarket motor trade desired.
5. Sales experience essential.
6. Experience of using our client’s systems - beneficial – Microcat, WERS, WIPS & CMMS, Salesforce.
7. Previous sales process experience would be beneficial.
8. Data analytics and reporting.
9. Ability to motivate individuals and a team towards quality, quantity and developmental objectives.
10. Demonstrate initiative in leading the team and be seen to be a driving force within the operation.
11. Ability to present work and findings in a clear and concise manner to the team and client.
12. Ability to self-motivate and work under own initiative when direction may be unclear.
13. Ability to provide constructive feedback to Team members.
14. A high level of integrity and process discipline.
15. Facilitation, negotiation and presentation skills.
16. IT literate with strong Microsoft Office skills.
17. Effective time management and ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines.
18. Ability to identify opportunities for improvements and implement change.
19. Ability to make quick and competent decisions.
20. Knowledge of relevant products, processes, policies and procedures across our client’s MP&L and Purchasing.
