An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic manager to join our Integrated Children’s Services in Waltham Forest. We are looking for Head of Service for Waltham Forest CAMHS who will play a key role in providing strong and inspirational leadership as part of an integrated approach to improve CYP mental health & wellbeing across the Borough.
The post holder will be expected to support their team, department, and organisation to achieve the organisations values in their day-to-day work to deliver
high quality CAMHS services to improve outcomes for CYP and their families as well as joint working with the local partnership.
The post holder will have the responsibility for the operational management of Waltham Forest CAMHS and will work with the clinical leadership team to deliver high quality, responsive & efficient services that meet the needs of the local population.
The post holder will have effective staff management skills and a strong, compassionate, strengths based approach to create effective working relationships within the MDT CAMHS team as well as with external stakeholders including CYP and their families, GPs, Local Authority Services, Schools.
To deliver effective operational and clinical leadership and direction to the service leads and multi-disciplinary teams
To support and develop the strategic direction for the service in line with national policies and locally identified health
To ensure that services are continually monitored, viewed and adapted to meet changing service user need and identified commissioning requirements
To ensure the delivery of clinical and care quality standards and objectives
To support and influence the development of new patient pathways in response to the requirements of the commissioners
To oversee patient pathways / flows into and out of Community Services
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).
