About the Role
This position reports to the HR Manager and works closely with the Management Team to ensure efficient HR advice, support, and administration. A varied role supporting the HR team and operational manager locally, requiring excellent organization, HR knowledge, and a great way with people.
Responsibilities
* Control of the recruitment process and supporting line managers with interviews
* Provide first-line support and advise on all employee relations issues (grievances and disciplinaries, performance improvement plans) managing through to successful resolution
* Escalating more complex cases to the HR Manager where required
* Administrative duties including liaising with the management team to ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner i.e., absence forms, probation reviews, performance reviews etc.
* Support the completion of HR Induction process
* Advise and support managers in accordance with current employment legislation and relevant policies
* Ensure completion of offer letter, contracts, and new starter checks such as reference, right to work, and pre-employment medicals
* Oversee the inputting of all new starters, leavers, and employee amendments and absence into the HR system and onto the payroll system
* Collation and processing of all overtime and bonus information in line with monthly payroll submission deadlines and interactions with the payroll departments where relevant
* Support on annual reporting such as P11ds
* Compile reports & provide HR data as and when required by HR and/or Management team as requested.
* Provide all aspects of employee relations to employees and Managers, including disciplinary, absence, grievance, and performance management
* Champion engagement initiatives including employee surveys, wellbeing, reward and recognition, internal communications, and company values on site, encouraging participation
* Coordinate with works council consultations and regular meetings
* Support Wellbeing Champions and assist with the coordination of campaigns and monthly meetings
* Coordinate the planning and delivery of training events
* Assist and engage with community events
* Oversee weekly and monthly metrics and trackers
Qualifications/Accreditations
CIPD level 5 qualification or experienced to this level
Required Skills
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
* The ability to support managers in finding solutions to HR and employees' relations issue
* Solid understanding of HR legislation, policies, and procedures
* Previous experience of a similar HR Advisor role
* Strong IT and reporting skills
* Able to use own initiative and be self-motivated
* Methodical approach to planning and organizing workload
* Good administration skills with a keen eye for detail
* Confidentiality is essential within this role
* Flexibility will be required
* Ability to prioritize tasks with effectiveness and efficiency working alone or as part of a team
* Self-starter that responds well In a fast-paced environment
* Driving license
