Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with this Client, a highly regarded secondary school in Newham, to appoint a dedicated and passionate Teacher of Art for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. This full-time position is available from February to May 2025 and is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Art department in a well-established school environment.
Job Role Requirements:
Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
Foster a creative and inclusive learning environment that inspires students to develop their artistic skills and appreciation for the subject.
Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and engagement in line with school policies.Qualifications & Person Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in Art, Fine Arts, or a related subject.
Proven experience teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
A passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
