Summary:
The Procurement Analyst will help to manage and optimize supplier relationships while ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to assess needs, streamline procurement processes, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services.
Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and manage procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance with contracts.
3. Support sourcing activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
4. Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and deliver timely solutions.
5. Ensure accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier contracts.
6. Monitor and report on key procurement metrics, including cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance.
7. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and product alternatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
8. Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance.
9. Manage procurement systems and tools to maintain data accuracy and streamline purchasing processes.
10. Provide training and support to internal teams regarding procurement best practices and processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. 2-4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing (experience in a SaaS or tech environment is a plus).
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
4. Experience with procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms).
5. Knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiations.
6. Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
8. Ability to work independently and take initiative in driving procurement process improvements.
9. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
10. Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CPP, or similar) is a plus.
