SEMH Mentor and Tutor Benefits £30 - £38 per hour (with opportunities for pay increases) Flexible part-time or full-time hours that work for you Occasional online and work-from-home opportunities A unique working environment where you collaborate with our team and support network to make every lesson / role a success About the young person and the SEMH Mentor and Tutor role We are hiring for multiple roles and welcome applications to be a Social Emotional and Mental Health ( SEMH ) Tutor even if there is not a specific placement immediately available Located in Thurrock Typically 10-15 hours per week, with variations depending on pupil needs Key Stage 1 / Key Stage 2 / Key Stage 3 / Key Stage 4 / Post 16 Support for Children and Young People who have Adverse Childhood Experiences ( ACE ), bereavement, loss, trauma or struggle to identify and manage their emotions Ages: 5 years old until 25 years old The SEMH mentor and tutor who can support a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities / SEND would be a bonus as a lot of ASEND pupils may also have other needs, such as Autism, ADHD or Learning Difficulties. It makes for work that is very engaging and rewarding. Some pupils ASEND gets asked to support solely need a balanced mix of therapeutic support alongside academic tutoring to either catch up on time they’ve missed or in preparation for exams in certain subjects (English, Maths, Science etc).
