The main responsibilities include: Drive income growth by achieving financial targets, optimising sales opportunities, and managing stock quality and displays to maximise revenue opportunities. Lead and support a diverse team, promoting an inclusive culture through recruitment, training, performance reviews, and ongoing development. Foster collaboration and continuous improvement by conducting regular team meetings and ensuring staff are equipped to meet business goals. Act as a community ambassador, delivering an excellent customer and donor experience while maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. About you: You will be an integral member of the Bakewell Retail team, demonstrating excellence in your approach to leadership and decision-making. You will focus on maximising the income generated by the shop, ensuring that these operations are profitable and efficient. You will encourage and coach the development of your direct reports, supporting and encouraging decision making and problem-solving scenarios. Skills and experience required: Excellent people management and leadership skills with the proven ability to manage and motivate others to achieve exceptional results. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and volunteers at all levels and from a wide variety of backgrounds Excellent communication skills (verbal and written communication) with the ability to summarise and present ideas and information to influence at all levels. An ability to work independently, self-motivate and prioritise own tasks and time. Also, able to take direction and work collaboratively with others. Proven track record of achieving income targets in charity retail or comparable environments.
