Role Summary
This role is a job share - working 2 days. This will be a Wednesday and then the other day can be chosen.
The Transport Carrier Manager will lead the selection and management of carriers to optimize stock movements for our online fashion and lifestyle brands, supporting growth in the UK and globally. This role focuses on enhancing delivery processes, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction while aligning with long-term strategic goals. You'll identify new carriers and services, foster innovation, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners to support our growing network.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Manage relationships with key carrier partners to ensure excellent delivery performance.
2. Identify and onboard new carriers to expand market reach and service capabilities.
3. Oversee end-to-end delivery processes, from purchase order handover to final delivery.
4. Use data analytics to monitor carrier performance and identify areas for improvement.
5. Lead projects, including the implementation of new carriers or services.
6. Negotiate improvements to cost, quality, and speed of delivery with carriers and stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with global supply chain teams to align with long-range plans and growth strategies.
8. Develop delivery policies (returns, exchanges, refunds) that align with customer expectations.
9. Build business cases for new delivery services to expand capabilities and reach.
10. Partner with tech teams to enhance tracking and delivery information accuracy.
11. Ensure compliance with trade regulations, leveraging financial trade frameworks effectively.
12. Work with finance and operations teams to manage budgets, rate cards, and cost optimizations.
13. Provide regular market insights and updates for senior leadership.
What You'll Need
1. A results-driven mindset with proven success in logistics and carrier management.
2. Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
3. Analytical expertise to assess data, identify solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
5. Budget management experience, including P&L analysis and forecasting.
6. Adaptability, resilience, and a positive attitude to thrive in evolving circumstances.
7. Flexibility to travel as needed.
