StimWell Services, a leading provider of well stimulation services owns and operates the state-of-the-art stimulation vessel MV Island Patriot. The vessel is based in Esbjerg, Denmark and operates throughout the North Sea in the Norwegian, Dutch, Danish and UK Sectors. The Company has the following exciting opportunity working at the Company's Head Office in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk.
Buyer and Inventory Controller
Based at StimWell Head Offices, Great Yarmouth, Norfolk
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 hours
Salary range is £37,000.00 - £44,000.00 per annum, dependent on experience
The Buyer and Inventory Controller will manage and organise Procurement, Inventory Control, Logistics (import and exports) and Company Insurances to support the Company's business activities with its clients. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have responsibility for: -
* Entering purchase orders on Sage 200 and maintaining daily, monthly, and annual transactions and movements from receipt of requests to purchase from internal sources.
* Performing reviews on annual contracts and renewing, where required.
* Agreeing, and organising new contracts and purchase order Commercial Terms with suppliers, where required, and dealing with any issues that arise.
* Working with internal departments to identify and source new vendors, pre-qualifying new suppliers and maintaining the Company's supplier list.
* Maintaining accurate inventory control, performing inventory checks as required.
* Carrying out supplier audits and assisting in the annual stocktake audit with the company's external auditors.
* Developing chemical and proppant forecasts, with internal departments.
* Managing and organising the company's transport demands, dealing with shipping companies and freight forwarders.
* Issuing commercial invoices and manifests as required for local shipments and import and export.
* Organising new Insurances and renewal of all company's insurance policies on an annual basis, as required and ensuring they continue to meet Company requirements.
* Dealing with the relevant personnel, both internally and externally if the company or its employees require to make a claim under the insurance policies.
* The position will require the successful applicant to be able to travel within the UK and overseas to Vessel, Client and Supplier locations, as and when required by the Company.
The key requirements for the role include: -
* A qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) would be desirable although not essential.
* Proven and reoccurring success in purchasing and supply.
* Inventory control experience.
* A good understanding and experience of logistics, transport, imports and exports.
* A basic understanding of insurance.
* Knowledge and experience in Sage 200 Procurement and Inventory Systems.
* Experience of working in the Oil and Gas Industry.
* An understanding of marine hydraulic fracturing would be desirable but not essential.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Knowledge and experience of using Sage would be desirable.
* Good administration skills.
* Able to work within a team or on own initiative with effective communication skills.
* Flexible and proactive, with ability to work to specified deadlines.
* Ability to work in a situation of challenging and changing priorities.
* Have a high level of personal motivation.
StimWell's Head Office is in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, UK and the successful candidates will be required to be within commutable distance of the Head Office.
