About the Role: As a Year 4 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific student who requires additional support to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. Your role will involve providing personalized assistance, implementing tailored learning strategies, and fostering a supportive environment where the student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized learning plans in collaboration with the SENCO and classroom teacher, focusing on the specific needs and goals of the student.
* Provide one-on-one support to the student during class activities, ensuring they are fully engaged and able to participate to the best of their ability.
* Adapt teaching materials and resources to suit the student's learning style and preferences, promoting inclusivity and accessibility in the classroom.
* Monitor the student's progress closely, tracking their achievements and identifying areas for further development or intervention as needed.
* Foster a positive and nurturing relationship with the student, building trust and confidence to support their overall well-being and academic success.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably with experience supporting students in Year 4 or a similar age group.
* Understanding of different learning needs and strategies for supporting students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Patience, empathy, and resilience in working with students who may face challenges or barriers to learning.
* Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs and preferences of the student, adjusting support strategies as necessary.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
